Going through puberty as a teenager was extremely awkward for me and the epitome of this stage was the strange, odd, dispersed growth of hair in (what I thought were) all the wrong places.

Barbie as a completely hairless representation of the human body dismisses the uncomfortable pubescent phase in life that we have all dealt with and furthermore inaccurately portrays the “hair-full” adult body. My Barbie will be experiencing her hair growth in documented stages with the use of generously donated pubic hair. She will finally understand that her body is more than just a clean shaven plastic mold!
